This year, as part of their annual 31 Days to Make a Difference initiative, VOSS Water is launching a campaign called “Every Like Makes a Difference.” Between World Water Day (March 22) and Earth Day (April 22), you can help VOSS Water build a new Voss Foundation clean water project by “liking” designated #MakeADiff posts across VOSS Water and Voss Foundation’s global social media platforms. The designated posts feature eight different components of a VossFoundation project with implementing partner Milgis Trust in the Samburu District of Kenya.

The goal is to reach 20,000 cumulative likes across VOSS Water and Voss Foundation’s global social media platforms to support the implementation of a new clean water project. VOSS Water will announce the first component on March 23. You can help make a difference by liking a #MakeADiff post from any of the following social media accounts:

Voss Foundation was founded in 2008 by Knut Brundtland, the then-CEO of VOSS Water, as an independent 501(c)(3), not a corporate foundation. VOSS Water, our largest single donor, supports Voss Foundation through donations and in-kind support. For the past six years, VOSS Water has celebrated its support of Voss Foundation between World Water Day and Earth Day through their 31 Days to Make a Difference awareness campaign.

VF_31Days_2016_KistlersLast year, VOSS Water launched #OneWellAtATime, a program honoring the work of Voss Foundation by granting participants the opportunity to share their understanding, vision and passion on the important issue of water scarcity in Sub-Saharan Africa through a visual or textual contest entry. Participants had the opportunity to win an adventure for two to visit Swaziland. In addition, VOSS Water funded a new Voss Foundation clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) project in the Ndlinilembi Chiefdom of Swaziland with implementing partners  Gone Rural boMake and Rosecraft, enhancing access to clean water and sanitation facilities for the benefit of approximately 450 people in the Hlobane and Ematfoleni communities by drilling one borehole fitted with a manual hand pump, constructing 67 ventilated improved pit (VIP) latrines, conducting a four-day sanitation and hygiene workshop for community members, and establishing water committees trained in proper usage, management, and maintenance to ensure sustainability. Last November, the #OneWellAtATime awardee, Matthew Kistler and his wife Stephanie joined Voss Foundation’s Program Director, Caitlin Rackish, on a site visit to Swaziland.

We at Voss Foundation are so grateful to VOSS Water for their support and their generosity. We look forward to this year’s campaign, and hope all our supporters will participate. Every Like Counts. Share with your friends to #MakeADiff Today!
