Sports Illustrated Supermodel, Ariel Meredith, hosted The First Annual Voss Foundation Benefit for clean water in East Hamptons at Georgica on July 3rd.
An advocate of Voss Foundation, Ms. Meredith, told Sports Illustrated Swim Daily, “I was so honored to host the benefit for the Voss Foundation and support their mission to provide clean water to communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Poverty, hunger and lack of access to clean water are all linked. As we support the Voss Foundation we are helping families and communities in the most essential ways. I first learned about the organization through a great friend and the more I researched on this organization I knew I definitely wanted to support and be more involved.”
Over 230 guests attended the exclusive event, and enjoyed an array of cocktails made with VitaCoco, Starr African Rum, and Voss Sparkling, followed by three-course dinner, after which Georgica seamlessly turned into a nightclub. Click here to learn how to recreate your cocktails from the night!
A raffle held during the dinner featured prizes from Georgica, Jack Wills, Barry’s Bootcamp, Betel Bar & Kitchen, and Voss Foundation’s own African Bazaar. Guests also received coveted gift bags with items from sponsors BULLDOG Gin, Davines, Art Hamptons, Host Committee, Lanikai Bikini, PopChips, Redbull, Salon Bar, Uber, and VitaCoco.
VOSS Water USA Brand Manager, Kirsten Hansen, and Georgica’s Antonio Fuccio played an instrumental role in the realization of the event. When Good News Planet asked Mr. Fuccio why Georgica partnered with Voss Foundation for this event, especially on a day the restaurant is generally closed, he explained, “The Voss Foundation is an incredible charity organization that uses a grass roots approach to it’s fund raising. These are regular people doing extraordinary things.”
Georgica contributed $5,975.00 to Voss Foundation from the inaugural event, which is enough to fund a new manual hand pump in a community in Liberia. Voss Foundation received great press coverage from media outlets like the New York Post to the Hamptons Magazine.
Thank you to Ariel Meredith, Georgica, our wonderful sponsors, and all who attended! We look forward to a bigger and better event at Georgica next year.
