Voss Foundation and VOSS Water Expo West Recap
From March 7th through 11th, Voss Foundation and VOSS Water participated in the 38th annual Natural Products Expo West, the world’s largest natural, organic and healthy products event, to premier our first virtual reality (VR) film. More than 85,000 people attendees the Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The VR film debuted at the Expo features a young woman from the Kingdom of Swaziland who gains access to safe, clean water for the very first time thanks to the installation of a brand-new water project generously funded by VOSS Water. With the launch of the VR film, VOSS hopes to bring more awareness to the ongoing need for safe water and adequate sanitation systems in Sub-Saharan Africa as well as their relationship with Voss Foundation.
“We (VOSS) thought this is an amazing program, but how do we share it with more consumers, buyers, and accounts?” said Justin Burnett, Director of National Accounts Retail for VOSS Water. “Now I can actually take my buyer to Sub-Saharan Africa and say ‘here’s what we are doing.’ All you have to do is insert your phone into the cardboard viewer and you can have this whole experience. Our goal is to move our relationship with Voss Foundation from paper to a fully immersive experience for our consumers and our buying teams to see. It’s almost like you are in Africa without having to actually travel to Swaziland.”
In addition to branded cardboard viewers that were distributed at the booth, Expo attendees had the opportunity to experience the film in it’s true form with Samsung VR headsets at VOSS’ booth.
“It’s been amazing to see the reactions from everyone who has stopped by our exhibit to experience the VR headsets,” shared Burnett. “Our goal at VOSS is to be sincere in our partnership. We want people to know that we are proud of this program and want to encourage others to get involved too. And now with the virtual reality film and the cardboard viewers we can really take it to the next level.”
