Last October, Voss Foundation Board member Tenny Field and his wife Kim, two of our 2015 Women Helping Women New York honorees, launched a personal giving campaign to raise funds for the water and sanitation facilities for the dormitories and teachers’ houses at the Good Future & Hope orphanage in Uganda, with a private event at the legendary Explorers Club in New York. The event featured a keynote address by award-winning photographer and author, and the 2013 National Geographic Traveler of the Year, Alison Wright who went to Good Future and Hope to document Voss Foundation’s work in November 2014.

Alison spent a long-weekend with Viera Liebe, the founder, of Good Future and Hope, the children, and the house mothers, while construction for the school was underway. Scroll through the slideshow to see her stunning photographs that capture the spirit and day-to-day activities at Good Future and Hope.
