Tuesday, June 30, an exciting new coterie of clean water champions gathered on the patio of New York hot spot Hotel Americano for their inaugural cocktail event to raise a glass – and funds – in support of our work. Rafiki Circle is a group of young, professional Voss Foundation supporters working collectively towards a mission of providing access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in developing communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
On this beautiful summer evening, guests enjoyed cocktails from sponsor Ciroc – and, of course, VOSS Water! Superstar DJ Chelsea Leyland had to back out at the last minute, unfortunately, but showed her support from afar via Instagram and Twitter. International club favorite Diver more than filled the void, spinning into the night as attendees learned about Voss Foundation’s work and made plans to visit our water projects throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
“Laura [Currie, co-chair] and I could not be more honored to be a part of an incredible cause and organization,” says Rafiki Circle co-chair May Lan Dong. “Our hope is to pioneer initiatives that bring together young New York professionals with a mission to bring clean water to children, families and developing communities in need in Africa.”
The Rafiki Circle group has created their own Instagram account, from which they will update their members on activities. Supporters can follow news on the Voss Foundation work they are supporting here on VF’s website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and more.
