VOSS FOUNDATION

Voss Foundation is dedicated to providing access to clean water to communities in Sub-Saharan Africa and raising awareness of ongoing need in the region.  We employ a unique approach that ensures local ownership and long-term sustainability through partnerships with trusted organizations on the ground, use of appropriate technology, and through systems that align environmental consideration with the diverse water needs of a community.  Founded by the directors of VOSS of Norway ASA as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity in 2008, with offices in New York and Oslo, the Voss Foundation has changed the lives of over 100,000 people in Kenya, Mali, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Liberia.

WOMEN HELPING WOMEN

Women Helping Women is an international program of the Voss Foundation wherein a group of women join forces to commit to improving the lives of mothers and children across the globe.  A worldwide network of women’s grassroots action, the campaign raises funds to help the Voss Foundation build water projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Each supporter has access to a detailed description of the well she funds, in addition to updates on the progress and success of her project.  Furthermore, donors are provided with the opportunity to visit Women Helping Women water projects, where circumstances permit, and meet those they have helped. Women Helping Women exemplifies the strength of women to change the world.  Every single donation is like a drop of water – as each woman contributes her share to form an entire water system for a village, so do individual drops of water come together to quench the thirst of thousands.  Every droplet, every contribution, every woman is necessary for the whole.
