Voss Foundation is dedicated to providing access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene as a means to enable community-driven development in Sub-Saharan Africa, and raising awareness of the ongoing need in the region. Founded by the directors of VOSS of Norway, ASA as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity, Voss Foundation has offices in New York and Oslo. Since our inception in 2008, Voss Foundation has helped to build 118 water access points and 462 sanitation facilities in Kenya, Mali, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Swaziland, and Uganda (as of May 2015).
WOMEN HELPING WOMEN
Women Helping Women (WHW), or “Kvinner hjelper Kvinner,” in Norwegian, is a Voss Foundation campaign that has raised nearly $650,000 in Europe and the United States to build 21 clean water access points and 291 sanitation facilities in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, and Swaziland, as of February 2015. In addition to our fifth annual Boston event, 2015 WHW events are planned to take place in San Francisco and New York.
