Frederick Anderson has lived at the heart and soul of the fashion world for the past 25 years.

In February 2017, Frederick launched the Frederick Anderson Collection,which immediately met with rave reviews. Prior, he served as President of Hanley Mellon LLC, a collection of women’s sportswear started in 2014 that is sold at Bloomingdales and Lord and Taylor as well as boutiques throughout the U.S. and worldwide.  This coming September, Frederick will co-found the opening of “The Elizabeth,” the newest shopping and lifestyle destination in NYC, at the former home of Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Todd.

For the 18 years prior, Frederick was the co-founder and President of Douglas Hannant Collection. The eponymous women’s fashion brand encompassed Ready-to-Wear, the Pink diffusion collection, DH bridal, and the signature Douglas Hannant fragrance, de Robert Pigue.  The flagship was at the Plaza Hotel, and the collection was sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and in boutiques internationally.

A leading philanthropist, Frederick Anderson served on the board and helped launch The Black Ball with Alicia Keys to raise funds for AIDS medication and treatment in Africa. He also won the “Mother Hale” award for leadership and fundraising from the “Hale House” in Harlem. Currently, he serves on the Arts Committee for Hope for Depression. In 2017 he launched The Blue Jacket fashion show and initiative, a fundraiser and awareness campaign for Prostate Cancer.
