The Voss Foundation invites you to join us for the second annual Women Helping Women New York luncheon on Wednesday, November 2nd, 11:30AM – 1:30PM.[intlink id=”75″ type=”page”]Women Helping Women[/intlink] is an international grassroots campaign that began in Norway in 2009. Since then, WHW has brought together [intlink id=”2730″ type=”page”]more than 300 women in 8 countries[/intlink] to raise over $125,000 for clean water projects in Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
At last year’s WHW luncheon, the Voss Foundation honored [intlink id=”2611″ type=”post”]Noella Coursaris[/intlink], founder of the Georges Malaika Foundation, for her efforts to empower young African girls through education. This year, Emmy-winning TV journalist and Executive Editor of Africa.com, Jacqueline Adams, will serve as Master of Ceremonies and we will honor Saran Kaba Jones as our Women Helping Women 2011 Honoree. Replacing last year’s silent auction of Stuart Franklin photos will be a Global Bazaar with products made in [intlink id=”4″ type=”page”]each region where we are working[/intlink] to improve access to clean water (just in time for the holiday season!).
We hope to see you there!
